To laugh often and much; to leave the world a bit better; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived....This is to have succeeded. (abbreviated) -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear Kelly and Family,
I only visited with Gil a few times, but it is evident to me based on the quote above that he succeeded in this life. While he is no longer here physically, he will remain in the hearts of many for eternity. Sending love and praying for comfort and peace for each of you.

I am so happy to have met and worked with Gil in Cardiac Rehab at Baptist Health Louisville (Baptist East). We had many interesting conversations while he pedaled away on his bike. And we talked a lot about his trips to Nashville to see his daughter and for his treatments there.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Kelly,
Thank you for letting me know about the passing of your father. Of course, we have remembered him and his work in helping us find a reason and a treatment for this lung disease. I'm sorry to hear of your loss and of his battle with cancer... but am thankful that he was able to continue to enjoy living life to the fullest until the end. My prayer is that he is enjoying his new life with our Lord and Savior and that you will once again see your father smiling brightly at you.
We thank him (and you) for his courage to help define this lung disease. His work in this process will never be forgotten. We have made many discoveries thanks to his contribution - these discoveries continue to help us take care of newly diagnosed patients and one day will help us answer to the cause and to find a treatment.
My prayer for you today is for comfort and peace, and to enjoy those fond memories of your Dad... fond memories that will never fade.
Sincerely, Wendi

Kell, there are no words to express how sorry for your loss we are. The only consolation is that he is in a much better place and no longer has pain. He was a very generous and honest man. He always made me feel like I was family. Love "T"

I only met Mr. Catlett a few times, but his daughter (Kelly) and I have been friends for many years. I know he helped make her the women she is today. I know her heart is hurting and I hope that she knows how many people are praying for her and her whole family during this time. Kelly, just know that there are big things for your dad in heaven and he will be watching you and taking care of you. I love you and miss you so very much. Vickie Antle Ware Fishers, IN

I only knew Mr Catlett through his daughter and the stories and love I have seen from her. I never got the chance to meet him in person. If his goal in life was to have family and people who love him, he succeeded. I pray he rests in peace and the seperation away from us, as God promised, is only temporary. My condolences go out to all who knew him. D.Graham, from Ohio.

I had only met Mr. Catlett a few times; but I was his parents pastor in Mount Eden from1975-1979. Seeing his obituary reminded me of them and led me to say a prayer in behalf of his family.
