"Doc" and I spent many happy hours "hanging" together as teen-agers. We worked together many times at his brother''s "Texaco" gas station in St. Louis, MI. We fished together many times at Stevenson lake. God bless your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dallas and Carol Shattuck. (Ron Miske's wife, Linda, is my sister).

Karen, Kelly and Kara, I met Gil, "Doc" in the 50's and have respected him ever since. He helped me through the late teen years which were rough. I will miss him very much. Rest in peace you ole gearhead. Wally

Karen,
Gill came into my office often to speak about issues of which he was passionate, and I am sure you know these subjects. On one particular visit I had a bad cold, and from that day on whenever he came in he brought me Ricola, Halls, or Ludens, and I still have a bag in my desk. He often spoke of you as the wife who has "put up with him" for so many years. We will remember him as a humorus fella, and he will be missed. Diane Mosier, Township Clerk

Gil would come to the Township Hall and stop at almost every window. We would always ask him what kind of trouble he was here to make. Underneath what he wanted us to think of as a crusty ole' man - we knew he was a very sweet man. I always enjoyed talking politics with him and I will truly miss his visits. Rest in peace my friend! Judy Martiny, Deputy Clerk, DeWitt Twp.
