Irvine, Gladys Mary

Born on December 21, 1915 and passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket. Gladys, ever loving wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Marilyn and her husband Bill Gordon of Aurora, Mary-Jane and her husband Steven Crainford of Toronto, and Wendy and her husband David Blakey of Ottawa. Dear Nana of Elizabeth and Andrew, Keith and Rebecca, Kate and Peter, Chris and Carrie, Sarah and Andrew, and Jacquelin. Great Nana to Chloe, Nate, Griffin, Camryn, Kiefer, and Alivia. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria Street, Aurora on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11am. Donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Thompson Funeral Home, Aurora (905 727-5421). We will always be grateful to Gladys for the warm welcome she gave my Father when he came to live at Park Place Manor.
Her wonderful sense of humour, and the 'dancing shoes' in the hall outside her door delighted him and so many others. She was so proud of her family, and we know you will cherish the times you spent with her always. MaryJane and Gary

I was sorry to hear the news.....but, 97 years old is awesome.
I have great memories of Summers with Gladys, Jack & Family in Midland on Georgian Bay. She could sure make my Mom laugh....maybe it was the rhum?

Aunt Gladys was an amazing woman filled with strength ,love and a great sense of homour she made the world a better place by her presence in it. I can picture her and Uncle Jack sitting on a park bench in heaven holding hands and she is telling him all about what she has been doing since their last conversation so many years ago .
