Beloved wife of the late Robert Inglis Petrie. Gladys was born in New Amsterdam, British Guiana, and raised there and in San Fernando, Trinidad. She came to Oshawa for high school and to Toronto for Nursing Western Hospital in Toronto. Gladys and Robert were married in 1949 and moved to Edmonton in 1957, where they raised their family, finally returning to Toronto in 1974. Gladys and Robert travelled to many locales around the world; then Gladys continued her travels with friends. Over the last 25 years Gladys has enjoyed spending her time with her family and watching her grand and great grandchildren grow and mature.
