Glenn Hixson slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Monday evening, November 28, 2016, surrounded by his family at home.
Born in Pennsylvania on 10-10-1937. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy, son Daryl (wife Megan and daughters Alyssa and Jenna), daughter Monica Kemp (daughters Stephaney and Nikky and son Joshua), and daughter Glenda Donoho (daughter Kalinda), and several great grandchildren. He is survived by half-sister Geraldine Taft in Utah, brother Ronald Hixson (and wife Brenda) Shreveport, LA, and brother Harold Hixson (and wife Pat), New Florence, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Glenn Joseph and Mabel Hixson, half-brothers William Glenn Hixson, Wayne Elwin Hixson, Jack Hixson, and James Hixson, half-sisters Therma Hixson, and Hazel Hixson, brother Donald Hixson, twin sister Gladys Cosgrove, sister Larue Strashensky, sister Marlene Hixson, and sister Marilyn Keller.
Glenn was stationed at Perrin AFB December 1956 until December 1960. After getting out of the Air Force he remained in Denison and was employed at the Denison Mattress Factory where he met his wife who was also employed there and they were married in November 1962. He later became employed at the Pillsbury Company where he remained until retirement in March 1996.
The family will hold a celebration of his life on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 1:00PM at the home, 83 Starling Drive, Denison, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Guardian Hospice.
