Glenn Gregory Greene
1941 – 2017
Glenn Gregory Greene, age 75, of Castle Rock, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12th, 2017, after a very short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family, and will be sorely missed. Born to William Cyrus and Mamie Marie Greene in Kansas City, Missouri on December 20, 1941, Glenn had a brother William, a sister Gloria, and 1st wife Linda all of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, Diane Marie Norten; his son Bryan Greene, his daughter Dawn Caskey and her husband Chad, his stepson Ryan Norten and his wife Heather; and 4 grandchildren, Rylie, Cole, Hayden and Carys.
Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army and the NSA, and enjoyed a distinguished career at Lockheed Martin. In retirement, he remained very active, working with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering for the Douglas County Sheriff's department, Bible Study and Fix-it Crew for his local church. Glenn's selflessness and kindness towards others was reflected in how he chose to spend his time, and will no doubt be carried on in his absence by those whom he has touched along the way. Glenn's many interests included politics, the performing arts, and he was an avid Colorado Rockies fan. He simply enjoyed living, and whether it was traveling or celebrating the accomplishments of his kids and grandchildren, he took it all in with Diane at his side.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 20th 10AM at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 3737 New Hope Way in Castle Rock. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Loaves and Fishes Coalition of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.
