As a fellow parishioner of a number of years, I will always remember Dr. Glenn Aumann as man of great dignity, intelligence, and kindness. He was always quick with a smile or a word of wit, and his loving service to our church community will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to Carol and the Aumann family.

Dr. Aumann was a very special person and a wonderful mentor that helped me get my research started at UH Coastal Research Center. I am fortunate to have known him. I will find it hard not to look for him out on a tractor every time I visit the Coastal Center to check on my instruments. I will always remember his quick smile and firm handshake. He will truly be missed.

Dear Carol, shocking news about Dr. Aumann. I first met him in 1980 and knew this was someone special. Loved his jokes and stories. It wasn't the same without him at the university. George and I have thought of him often. Please take care of yourself.

Glenn was very important to all of us who are prairie ecologists. The Coastal Center has been a critical part of my research (and many other folks at Rice over the years). My thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news about Glenn Aumann. I was hired by "Doc" Aumann in September of 1985 to work at UH Coastal Center and worked for him until 1990. It was a pleasure to work for him and to keep in touch with him afterwards at U of H. He loved the Coastal Center and did everything he could to protect and preserve it. When he was cleaning his office at the time of his retirement from the University he came to my office to give me some newspaper clippings from my time at the Coastal Center. Students who worked for me were amazed that he would take the time to do this. I am thankful that our paths crossed. May God bless his family and friends.

We just learned of Doc's going to be with God this weekend from Don and Bette Nelson. We have such wonderful memories of playing volleyball with Doc. He loved to dink it in the corner and beat the rest of us(smile). Our prayers are for Carol and the whole Aumann family to have wonderful memories too of a man with a smile that shined with the love of Christ. Love, Russ and Susan Senti
