After marriage lived in Glen Ridge, New Jersey where she was a member of the Woman's Club of Glen Ridge, the Glen Ridge Players, Eagle Rock Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a docent at the 1796 Israel Crane House in Montclair. She was listed in "Who's Who of American Women" and the Miami Social Register. Survived by Sons T. Peter Schoonmaker Jr. of Seattle and D. Nicholas Schoonmaker of Fort Worth.
