She is survived by her only son, Charlie Hammond (Sharon); 2 grandchildren, Lauren Trotter (Tony), and Chaz Hammond (Heather); and 2 great grandchildren, Talan and Kaylee; along with many other nieces and nephews.

Glynton was from West Virginia and moved to Louisville in 1947, where she met her husband, Charlie Sr. They fell in love and had a story book romance. She began her career at Barnes Medical Laboratory for 17 years. After that, she began teaching at the University of Louisville Medical School where she would work for 30 years and eventually retired.

She moved to the other side of the river a few years after Charlie Jr. was born and has been a resident of Jeffersonville/Clarksville for the remainder of her life. She was very involved in Morton Memorial Church in Clarksville, then began going to Southeast Christian Church where she was very active in their lady's bible study. She was also a member of the University of Louisville Cardinal Club where she supported all of the University of Louisville athletics. Glynton was loved by many and will be missed greatly!

Visitation will be from 2 pm ~ 5 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 5:30 pm Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.

The family requests any monetary donations be made to Kosair Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Research Hospital as she was very passionate about this cause.
