Obituary

Goldie E. Arwood, 90, of the Newport Highway, Greeneville, passed away Monday, November 8, 2011, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. She was a retired employee of Laughlin Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Arwood attended United Baptist Church where she was a charter member. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Mitzi and Glenn Ward; one grandson: Rodney Ward; one sister: Patsy Ricker; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Guy and Ola Mae Metcalf and Lloyd Metcalf, all of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Marie Metcalf; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: David and Cheryl Davis of Greeneville. Goldie E. Arwood, 90, of the Newport Highway, Greeneville, passed away Monday, November 8, 2011, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was a retired employee of Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Arwood attended United Baptist Church where she was a charter member.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Mitzi and Glenn Ward; one grandson: Rodney Ward; one sister: Patsy Ricker; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Guy and Ola Mae Metcalf and Lloyd Metcalf, all of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Marie Metcalf; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: David and Cheryl Davis of Greeneville.

She was the daughter of the late Shoun and Lola Thompson Metcalf and was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Henry Arwood; one sister, Belle Ball; and two brothers, Herbert Metcalf and Lattie Metcalf.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Nick Bailey
will officiate.

Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Ricker, Benny Metcalf, Dereck Metcalf, David Davis, Ricky Metcalf, and Howard Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of United Baptist Church.
