74, passed away November 28, 2012 in Scottsdale, AZ. Gordon was born April 28, 1938 in Summerland, BC, Canada to Blair and Christine (Mattern) Underwood. He attended Mesa High School in Mesa, AZ and shortly after joined the United States Army where he served for six years. It was during that time, he married Martha A. Merrifield and to this union three children were born. After leaving the service, Gordon attended and graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, where he received his Accountant Degree. He then was employed by Salt River Project as an Accountant. He and Martha were members of The Shepherd's Church and Gordon was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his parents Blair and Christine; and his loving wife Martha. Gordon is survived by his three children: daughter Susan; Sons Mark and Scott; Nine Grandchildren; and One Brother John. Graveside Services will be held 1:00pm, Friday, December 7, 2012 at the City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ 85201 where Military Honors will be presented.
