Grace Patrick Sheppard, 95, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born June 13, 1922 to Robert and Maidee Patrick Jr. in Omega, GA. For over 50 years, Grace was an area sales manager for Luzier Cosmetics and ran her own business until the age of 90. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed visiting many places with her husband in their Airstream. Grace is preceded in death by her husband William Sheppard Sr. who passed away in 2007 of which they were married 53 years at the time of his passing. She is survived by her children Jan (Lou) Glatzer, Patrick J. (Bonnie) Sheppard, Don (Rita) Sheppard, 5 grandchildren Brian, Kerry, Raquel, Matthew, Michael, 8 great-grandchildren, twin sisters Mary McCarty, Martha Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held in her honor at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor of Ortega and Acosta-Rua Hospice Center for Caring for all their support and attention in the care of Mrs. Sheppard. In addition, a special thank you to the St Peters visitation staff who showed tremendous love and caring for our mom over the past ten years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 beginning at 2:00pm at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 5042 Timuquana Road, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
