Grace Linn Wood of Madison , MS went to be with the Lord on May 29th 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS with her son by her side. Visitation will be held Saturday June 2nd from 9am-11am at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison. Ms Wood was born on May 27, 1940. Grace Linn graduated from Henrietta King High School in Kingsville, TX and later attended the University of Houston and the University of Texas. She met and later married Michael Joseph Wood. They traveled to Houston where there son was born and later transferred to Jackson, MS and had their second child Heather Linn.
Grace will always be remembered as a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and amazing friend. Whether thru her caring and giving nature, her big heart, her famous tacos, or her sweet smile, Grace brought love, comfort, and happiness to all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her dear father Eugene Windell Hunt and her giving mother Grace Belle Hunt.
Ms Wood is survived by her loving son Gene Wood and wife Karlynne, her beautiful daughter Heather Wood Lolley and husband Steve, two loving grandsons Payton Wood and Logan Lolley, three beautiful granddaughters Katie Lolley, Bailey Wood, and Hannah Lolley, three wonderful cousins Pam Perry, Gwyn Ross and John Hunt and her ex husband Michael Joseph Wood and wife Bobbie. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
