Grant J. Atkinson, 62 of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away August 20, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice House. Memorial Mass will be 10 am, Monday, August 26, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church, burial at Mount Moriah Terrace Park. Memorial contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice House. Grant was born October 9, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors particularly the ocean and sailing. Grant truly loved life and his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Cliff and Betty Atkinson. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Atkinson; mother in law Helen Laska; daughter, Melissa Kirschner and son, Shawn Atkinson; 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Sidney, Piper, Hayden and Cierra; brother, Clifford D.
