Grant Bigelow Low (1924 ~ 2014) - Grant passed away peacefully at the Sunnybank Centre with his family at his bedside on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was 89 years young. He will be greatly missed by his son, Blake (Angie) of Oliver; daughters, Janice of Okanagan Falls and Lori of Mara Lake; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Grant loved his country and was a WWII Veteran. He had many talents which he prided himself with watchmaker/jeweler, butcher, electrical contractor and refrigeration and repair contractor. Grant came to Oliver in 1982 for a visit and never left. He loved the Okanagan Valley. He also enjoyed his many years in Yuma, Arizona where he golfed, danced and enjoyed his many friends. Grant was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Oliver Elks Club. Many thanks to the staff at Sunnybank Centre and the South Okanagan General Hospital for their devoted care. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Hamilton, his close friend and doctor of many years. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Okanagan Falls on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1 o'clock. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Charities would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Blaine Krist at Graham Funeral Home, 5920 Kootenay Street
