Gussie Arledge Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 18, 2012.

Gussie Frances Arledge passed away on April 17, 2012. Gussie was born in Taylor, Tx on April 7, 1927 to John and Cora Ballerstedt.
Gussie was married on June 24, 1956 to Conrad Arledge at St Paul Lutheran Church where she was a lifetime member; during her lifetime membership she was a Sunday school teacher and also served on the altar guild.
Gussie had a 37 year career at Montgomery Ward. She worked in the credit department, mail order department and as a service clerk.
Gussie was very involved in the community. She was a charter member of the Inter-Church Workers and was a long time member of the Sons of Hermann Lodge.
Gussie would like to be remembered for her love of flowers; sending greeting cards to the sick and elderly; taking the elderly that can no longer drive at night to church and eat out.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the following: JoAnn Bachmayer and Joanne Rummel for their loving care and support and the staff at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home, Scott & White Hospital and Scott & White Hospice.
Gussie is preceded in death by her parents John and Cora Ballerstedt and her husband Conrad Arledge.
Gussie is survived by her sisters-in-law, Dortha Dickerson of Jourdaton, Tx and Grace Schroeder of Austin, Tx; her beloved dog "Dora"; numerous other relatives and friends.
