On Sunday July 27, Guy Ross Edwards passed into the loving arms of his deceased wife, Ruby Charlotte Edwards. This ended the final stage of a more than seventy year romance between two young people who loved each other very much. Guy was born in Pennsylvania on February 26, 1923. He worked as a Coal Miner for several years. He was a World War II veteran who bravely fought to defend the rights of all Americans. After suffering World War II, he pioneered to California with his wife and three young children, Guy R. Edwards Jr., Charlotte Jackowitcz and Dr. Henry Edwards. It was during this time, while living in California, that Guy began working in the Defense Technology and Electronics Industry by working for RCA for 25 years. He retired sometime in the middle of the 1980s. He and his wife spent a large amount of their retirement years visiting relatives and traveling around the United States. His wife, Ruby, passed into the arms of Christ in May of 2011. Guy spent the past three years waiting patiently for the day when he could be joined with his loving sweetheart and wife, Ruby. Now they are at peace in the arms of each other in the spirit world with our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Those of us who are left behind wait the day when we can spend eternity in heaven with those who have already preceded us. Those who remain are his two children, Dr. Henry C. Edwards and Charlotte Jackowitcz. His eldest son, Guy R. Edwards Jr., passed home in October 2003. Guy Sr. has seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Words are not sufficient to express our sorrow cloaked with joy for the loss of our beloved patriarch, Guy Ross Edwards. He will be missed daily as we continue to survive the challenges and joy of life. We are blessed to believe and understand that all of us are a part of a continuing cycle of life which continues until Christ comes again to reward his believers. Guy always stated that God has taken good care of him. His life was a true and visible demonstration of God's love and compassion upon one man's life. May you forever rest in peace Dad (Pap). We love you and miss you.

Services will be held on August 7, 2014 at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Oaks, near the entrance to Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary.

"Dad your passing has left a big whole in our lives. You will always be remembered and loved. Your daughter." Charlotte Jackowitcz (Simi, CA)
