REDPATH, Gwendoline Hester August 15th, 1919 – August 17th, 2012 Peacefully at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, Ont. Our very tired Auntie Gwen left us to join her parents, sisters and brothers after a lengthy illness. She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in 1976 immigrated to Canada with her sister Ida where she worked as a Secretary to the Superintendent at Canada Customs, Terminal 2 at Pearson Airport until her retirement. Proud Auntie to Leonard Nicholl (Sandra), Maureen Hunter (Norman) and Elizabeth Warren (Robert) in Canada and also 2 nieces in Northern Ireland – Anne Livingston (Robert) of Belfast and Helen (late James) McFadden...

Peacefully at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, Ont. Our very tired Auntie Gwen left us to join her parents, sisters and brothers after a lengthy illness. She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in 1976 immigrated to Canada with her sister Ida where she worked as a Secretary to the Superintendent at Canada Customs, Terminal 2 at Pearson Airport until her retirement. Proud Auntie to Leonard Nicholl (Sandra), Maureen Hunter (Norman) and Elizabeth Warren (Robert) in Canada and also 2 nieces in Northern Ireland – Anne Livingston (Robert) of Belfast and Helen (late James) McFadden of Dromore, Co. Down. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Her cremated remains will be taken to Belfast at a future date to be interred with her family in Belfast City Cemetery, Carnmoney, Co. Antrim. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society (www.alzheimertoronto.org/donate.htm) or The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf (www2.bobrumball.org). The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff at Fairview Lodge for their constant care and compassion.
