Obituary

Gwendolyn Allison, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Hampton. She was a resident of Northern Virginia for many years and most recently a resident of Hampton. Gwendolyn was a secretary for a computer equipment company. She was a former organist and choir director and had many interests, including knitting and singing. She loved cats and dogs and always enjoyed helping others. She is survived by her daughters, Edna A. Griffenhagen and her husband, Mark Waller, and Nancy J. Allison; grandchildren, Gregg Griffenhagen, Susan Kirk, Patricia Groff and husband, Phil, and Christen Zenich; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Abby...

She is survived by her daughters, Edna A. Griffenhagen and her husband, Mark Waller, and Nancy J. Allison; grandchildren, Gregg Griffenhagen, Susan Kirk, Patricia Groff and husband, Phil, and Christen Zenich; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Abby Kirk, and Gavin and George Griffenhagen; brother, William H. Jones; five nephews, two nieces; and numerous grandnieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date in Northern Virginia.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hospice Community Care, Inc. and especially the caring staff and residents at Shelton on the Bay; we couldn't ask for better care.
