Harold W. Delventhal, age 89, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away Thursday afternoon at the Henry County Hospital.
Born June 21, 1923 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Frederick and Catherine (Furhop) Delventhal. On November 20, 1948 he married Mary V. Hinderer and she preceded him in death on June 3, 1995.
Harold was the owner and operator of the Standard Plumbing and Heating Co. of Napoleon. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Napoleon. He was a WW II Army Flight Officer veteran. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 1313.
Surviving is four sons Gary (Dianna) Delventhal, Hamler, Ohio, Rex (Janet) Delventhal, Strongsville, Ohio, Dean (Dawn) Delventhal, Apex, North Carolina, Neal (Anita) Delventhal, Lake Orion, Michigan; two daughters Karen Delventhal, Alexandria, Virginia, Diane Delventhal, Toledo, Ohio and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death also by his parents, two grandchildren Kathy and Dawn Delventhal, two brothers Norman and Herman Delventhal, two sisters Emma Haase and Lola McColley.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. James Castello, officiating. Interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the joint veteran's posts of Napoleon.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 11 a.m. up to the time of the service.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Napoleon Lutheran Home or to the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
