Mr. Beam has been a neighbor of mine for a very long time. He was a very nice, caring man. He was driving his son home from work one night and noticed I had left the parking lights on my car and he called around 1l:00 PM and apologized for calling so late, but wanted me to know about the lights. He said I would probably get up the next morning with a dead battery. I thanked him very much. When my husband died in June of 1999, Mr. Beam came down to say how much he admired Jim and that he would miss him very much. They had become good friends over the years. Mr. Beam was so touched by a later obituary that I placed in the paper, that he said he cut it out and placed it in his Bible.
I haven't seen him out in years, but know he is happy to be with the Lord and his wife. May God bless his family at this difficult time for them.
