Hannah "Nan" M. (Farraday) Arabasz, age 91, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She was the wife of the late Walter Arabasz. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Meredith) Farraday, she had lived in Fairhaven for thirty years before moving to New Bedford in 1969. Mrs. Arabasz worked at Acushnet Process for many years before retiring. She volunteered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, enjoyed making ceramics, playing bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods. Hannah "Nan" M. (Farraday) Arabasz, age 91, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She was the wife of the late Walter Arabasz.

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Meredith) Farraday, she had lived in Fairhaven for thirty years before moving to New Bedford in 1969.

Mrs. Arabasz worked at Acushnet Process for many years before retiring. She volunteered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, enjoyed making ceramics, playing bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by a son, William Perry and his wife Connie of Virginia; a step son, Walter Arabasz and his wife LaRetta of Utah; two step daughters, Marie Sullivan and her husband David of Sandwich and Susan Holland of Berkley; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Norma Terry.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11 AM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Visiting hours 10-11 AM in the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to, Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
