Obituary

Hans P. Fredricksen, age 64, passed away on October 11, 2013 in Humble, Texas. He was born to Flores and Katherine Fredricksen on December 7, 1948 in Wisconsin. Hans graduated from Bayview High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee where he earned his PhD in Physics. He also served his country in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War. Hans was involved with research and development at the University of Houston and invented Saw devices with NASA. Hans P. Fredricksen, age 64, passed away on October 11, 2013 in Humble, Texas. He was born to Flores and Katherine Fredricksen on December 7, 1948 in Wisconsin.

Hans graduated from Bayview High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee where he earned his PhD in Physics. He also served his country in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War.

Hans was involved with research and development at the University of Houston and invented Saw devices with NASA. Hans was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, and the American Physics Society.

In his spare time, Hans loved computer science, space, was a true lifetime student always searching for knowledge, reading; especially science books, and doing a good crossword puzzle.

A special thanks is extended to Dr. Martin Lidsky, Dr. Amit Verma, Dr. Jay Foreman and the doctors and nurses who fought to save him at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Humble.

Hans leaves behind his loving wife Audrey Fredricksen, three daughters: Sarah Cunningham, Inger Solis, and Katherine Fredricksen, five grandchildren, two sisters, as well as other family, friends, and loved ones.

A visitation will take place on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Humble, 19901 Townsen Blvd, Humble, TX 77338. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation.

Hans will then be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, at 1:15 p.m.
