Harland W. Augustine, 87, of Normal, passed away at 9:20am, Sunday September 16, 2012 at his home.
Harland was born June 5, 1925 in Bloomington to Aaron and Mary Shoemaker Augustine. He first married Helen Rhodes; she preceded him in death in 1988.
Also surviving are his children, William (Sue) Augustine, Pamela Dady, Dave (Loree) Augustine, and Cheryl (Michael) Oing, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Harland lived his entire life in the community, and for much of it was a farmer. He was an avid Cubs fan, in his earlier years enjoyed golf and bowling.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday September 21, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with visitation from 10:30a-12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
