Harlon Blane Cartwright, 88, of Byhalia, MS, passed from this life Saturday, June 14th at his home. Mr. Cartwright was born August 3, 1925 in Dumas, MS to the late Clyde and Marietta Eaton Cartwright. He served in the U. S. Navy, a farmer, and was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Cartwright is survived by his wife, Mildred Irene Hardin Cartwright, who he married on October 22, 1949. He is also survived by a daughter: Dyonne Cartwright Eick (Jimmy), sons: Phillip B. Cartwright (Cathy), Hoyt L. Cartwright (Betty Jo), 6 grandchildren; Jennifer Cartwright Henry, Kayla Eick, Kaci Eick Lindley, Kolton Eick, Gail Todd Grimes, Clifton Todd, 5 great-grandchildren; Shannah Henry, Britany Grimes, Kelsi Grimes, Shelton Todd, C. J. Todd, and 1 great great grandchild; Jaxon Nest. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Donald Everette Cartwright, 3 sisters; Mildred Deletra Brooks, Edith McNeely and Faye Brooks. Visitation will be 5pm – 8pm, Monday, June 16th at Collierville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10am, Tuesday, June 17th in the T. Carl Rutledge Memorial Chapel of Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2pm, in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Corinth, MS.
