Harold F. Bennett, 78, of Jasper, Indiana passed away on Saturday December 11, 2010 at Bell Trace Health Center. He was born on December 10, 1932 to the late Tunis and Margaret (Bennett) Bennett in Springs, New York. He was a retired Iron Worker from Local #22 in Indianapolis, Indiana and a Veteran of the US Navy during Korea. He was a past Commander of the American Legion post # 419 in Amagansett, New York and the Moose Lodge. He graduated from Business College in Indianapolis. Harold F. Bennett, 78, of Jasper, Indiana passed away on Saturday December 11, 2010 at Bell Trace Health Center. He is survived by 2 sons and wives: Allen & Fern Bennett of Bloomington, Clifford and Shelley Bennett of Pullman, WA, 4 daughters and husbands: Donna & Mark Tedrow of Jasper, Sally Crouch of Bloomington, Lorraine McKay of East Hampton, NY and Lianne & Tom Miller of East Hampton, NY. 17 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. A brother: Tom Bennett of Indianapolis and 2 sisters: Beatrice Neill of Essex Junction, Vermont and Diane Lutz of Maine, a sister-in-law: Rose Bennett of Port Washington NY.
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Jacquelyn Bennett a brother: Wesley Bennett and a son: Phillip Bennett.
The Family will receive friends at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel from 2-4 PM Saturday December 18, with private burial following at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
