Obituary

Harold Hebel, 82 of Lima passed away 6:20 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born in Columbus Grove on August 22, 1930 to John Otto & Nellie Irene (Brogan) Hebel, they precede him in death. On January 22, 1966 he married Mary E. Whetstone and she survives him. Mr. Hebel is also survived by his daughters, Jacqueline (Dewey) Cummings and Gerry Schwier all of Lima; his grandchildren, James (Melanie) Cummings of Des Moines, IA, Michele Black (John Freund) of Delphos, Rebecca (David) Shepherd of Lima; his great grandchildren: Alexica, Destiny and Chayse Bardo, Kaitlyn Kirk, Jesse and Sydney Freund, Corey...

Mr. Hebel is also survived by his daughters, Jacqueline (Dewey) Cummings and Gerry Schwier all of Lima; his grandchildren, James (Melanie) Cummings of Des Moines, IA, Michele Black (John Freund) of Delphos, Rebecca (David) Shepherd of Lima; his great grandchildren: Alexica, Destiny and Chayse Bardo, Kaitlyn Kirk, Jesse and Sydney Freund, Corey and Ryan Snider, Kaitlyn and Codi Shepherd.
Harold was also preceded in death by his half brothers, William and Richard.
Mr. Hebel retired from Milcor in 1995 as a breakman. He was an Army Korean veteran; and a member of the VFW Post 1275 and the Orioles Nest.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Campbell, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, where the VFW Post 1275 will conduct military graveside rites.
Family and friends may call Friday, February 22, 2013 from 1-3 p.m. and again 5-7 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Lima First Church of the Nazarene 300 W. Elm Street Lima, Ohio.
