I was at work today telling a story about clients of mine (Phyllis & Tim Rolph) that happened around 1996. The story is around selling insurance when Phyllis lived in Geist. I had only met her and Tim 3 times. When I was leaving an appointment with them, Phyllis walked me to the door and said me bye and I love you! I responded love you too without thinking until I got in my car. I have never told a client I loved them but it felt natural because of the type of people they are. I went home and told my wife I was telling other women I love them. Phyllis and Tim had given me a plant that I had for over 12 years. After telling the story I wanted to reach out to Tim since I had not seen him since Phyllis was diagnosed with cancer. I googled Tim and saw that he had passed away in December. I thought I would write this to tell the kids that your parents still touch lives today. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Tim and I were cousins, and grew-up a few blocks away.We were'nt childhood buddies, but did some activities together. Tim was close to year older and a grade ahead of me. I remember going with Tim and his Dad(referee duty) to a game in Portsmouth, stopping in a smoke filled stag sports bar,big eyed and mouth open;then sleeping over at their house. In bed, we both got tickled and laughed loud and long enuff to wake his grandmother,Muzz, my aunt Emma to me, who proceeded to our bedroom, chewed us out , and left..we shut up.(age about 12)Another time we went to a scout camp in Portsmouth, Camp OYO, for a week. Bunked in seperate cabins.(about ten yrs old).I'll miss Tim for ourFamous Five basketball team gatherings and alumni socials. Tim was always there, from Indiana, for these meets.
May God Bless you, and keep all of you in His arms during this painful period and later,

Dear Mark, Greg and Lisa-Bug, My heart goes out to all of you at this very sad time. I have many precious memories of happy times shared with Tim and Phyl, and each of you in the Rolph family. Your Dad and Mom sure had a gift for welcoming others into their active lives. I've always valued my special friendship (and honorary "aunt" status) with your family, and I am comforted to know that your Dad and Mom's positive spirits live on in each of you. My prayers and thoughts are with you, and I'm here to offer my support to you at this very sad time. Roger joins me in sending our deepest sympathies.
Love, Ellen (Columbus, IN)

Dear Greg & Family,
My deepest condolences over the loss of Tim. Having just lost my dad last month, I know what you are going through. I enjoyed seeing Tim on his annual trips to Miami Beach, which usually involved celebrating his St. Patick's Day birthday. He even stayed a couple of nights at my condo a few years ago. He was a special person and will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Ken
