Scott, Harold E. "Scotty", age 85, a resident of Montgomery, passed away on January 18, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma; his sons, Jim (Rebecca) of Montgomery and Randall (Sheila) of Ochlocknee, GA; his daughter, Glenna (Charles) Overby of Wetumpka; a sister, Doris Chapman of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Charles, Christopher, Caleb and Cassidy Overby, Jennifer Trotman and Lyndsey Whaley; great-grandchildren, Ivy Poyner and Preston Poyner, Neill Trotman, Gracie Trotman and Jackson Whaley.
Scotty was a member of Mason's Lodge #11 and the Alcazar Shrine Fire Chiefs Parade unit. He also served his community as a member of the Catoma Volunteer Fire Department.
The family will greet friends and visitors on Friday, January 24, 2014 for visitation from 5 – 7 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Alcazar Shrine Fire Chiefs parade unit.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Alcazar Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, 555 Eastern Blvd., Montgomery, AL
36117.
