On October 31, 2012 Harriet Sylvia Dolphin, 85, of Phoenix, Arizona made her transition. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Ely, Minnesota. Harriet received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, and her Masters Degree and Doctorate of Education from Arizona State University. She was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and traveled to Europe to study European architectural style. She taught Art History at Phoenix College for nearly twenty years, after which she retired. On October 31, 2012 Harriet Sylvia Dolphin, 85, of Phoenix, Arizona made her transition. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Ely, Minnesota. Harriet received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, and her Masters Degree and Doctorate of Education from Arizona State University. She was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and traveled to Europe to study European architectural style. She taught Art History at Phoenix College for nearly twenty years, after which she retired. She loved poetry, nature, cats, fine arts, performing arts (especially opera), camping, and travel at the drop of a hat. She was a woman of endless compassion, highly intelligent and with an extraordinary sense of humor. Harriet is survived by daughters, Jacqueline Marie Dolphin, Gabrielle Dolphin, Suzanne Dolphin and son, Anthony Benjamin Dolphin, and four grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her beloved son Victor Elliot Dolphin, Harriet was a deeply caring and generous soul who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. A celebration of her life is planned for April 11, 2013. Family and friends will be notified of the arrangements.
