Harvey W. Hickam, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at a local hospital in Abilene, TX. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Thursday evening, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Harvey was born on April 12, 1930 in Littlefield, Texas to Walter S. and Ethel E. Moses Hickam. He graduated from Ranger College and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harvey was a master carpenter by trade.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Walter, Elbert, and Calvin Hickam; and a sister, Ruth Ford.
Survivors include two brothers, Manuel J. Hickam and Euell Hickam, both of Abilene; a sister, Susie Mary Rister also of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Our condolences to Harvey's family. May he find peace and rest in Heaven with his family. We will miss visiting with Harvey when we visit family in Abilene. Many fond memories growing up knowing Harvey and bringing my family to visit again over the years. We were blessed to have known him.
