I send aoo my Thoughts and Prayers to the whole Family, Mr. Harvey was one kind and classey Man. On Many ocassions I had the pleasure going to Toledo to the Brown's home away from home and when i did Ms. Betty Lou and Mr. H treated me just like one of thiers. Scotty, Steve Deal and myself would start to veer of on the wrong path and we would get put back on the correct one by Mr. H and if that didn't work we had to deal with BL and neither of us wanted that. Mr. Harvey would always ask us before we headed out for more adult bevearge, do i need to go? Mr. Harvey always (just as the entire family did) made me feel welcome and wanted. Heaven gained another great Soilder. I will always cherish the great feeling he showed me as a guest with his Family. Regards, Richard Buxton

When I was just a kid out of school, I hired on with the Missouri Pacific Railroad. I was working in the signal and communication dept. It took a while for me to save money to buy my first car. I was goiing to be working in the Opelousas-Eunice La. area. Harvey found out I was going to be working there, so he called me and asked my plans. I explained that i would have to stay in a motel until I bought me a car. He told me he would be working in that area also and that i could ride with him. He had, if I remember correctly, a volkswagen bus. I rode with Harvey for over six months. He would not let me pay for my ride. He told me as soon as I made a few paydays, that I could pay him. It never happened. I made payday after payday. I would offer him pay for my ride, he would always say "wait till next payday". I kept in contact with Harvey for a lot of years. He was a man of giving and not much on taking. Mrs Betty Lou Brown was and still is my favorite teacher of all my school days. Harvey will really be missed by his entire family and many, many friends

There was a brief moment when I had the pleasure to be under his roof. He took me in and accepted me as one of his own it seemed. He never displayed a tone over compassion towards his family as I observed his wonderful smiles he displayed. Over these many years of seeing him from time to time he has continued to be the same loving person I meet as a child. I will miss you!

It is with great sorrow at the loss of such a great Man, Father, Grandfather, Co worker, and most of all my dear friend! He and I spent alot of time together at work! He taught me values, morals, and determination to suceed in life! He always had a smile that could make a bad day not seem so bad after all! I'll always remeber his stories both with the Rail Road and in his personal life he honored me in sharing! I'll never foget his laugh! Thank you Harvey for coming into my life I will miss you!
