Hazel and Earl were some of the original inhabitants of our little neighborhood-Burris Woods and welcoming neighbors to us in 1990. The stories we could tell....Hazel in her later years standing on the railing of her deck trying to clean gutters.

Hazel and her husband were the first to welcome my husband and me to the neighborhood. They made us feel so welcome. The last years that she was in her home we visited often as we both had lost our husbands. She offered encouragement in many ways. She was kind, strong & inspirational at a time when I most needed it. This world lost a most wonderful lady. Blessings and prayers to the family.

I feel so blessed to have had Hazel
In my life. She was an amazing woman and friend. My one regret is that I never said goodbye to her. Several years ago during a dark time in my life after having several major surgeries, she drove up to my house on a golf cart to check on me. This was my first of many encounters I had with Miss Hazel. R.I.P. my sweet friend and may you be dancing with the Angels.

We loved Hazel, as a neighbor, longtime family friend and pioneer woman. She taught so many of us how to enjoy life and to find joy in living. I can still hear her laughter. What a gift she was to all of us during her 97 years on this earth. RIP sweet Hazel.
