ARMSTRONG, Hazel – Peacefully after a brief illness at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 27, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends after celebrating her 79th birthday on September 19th. Former wife of the late Bob Armstrong. Much loved mother of Trudy Johnson (Jim). Devoted and cherished "Nunu" of: Patrick, David and Emily, all of Burlington. Beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Meek. Best friend of Fern Allen for over 60 years. Special friend of Bill Carter and family, County Durham, England. ARMSTRONG, Hazel – Peacefully after a brief illness at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 27, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends after celebrating her 79th birthday on September 19th. Former wife of the late Bob Armstrong. Much loved mother of Trudy Johnson (Jim). Devoted and cherished "Nunu" of: Patrick, David and Emily, all of Burlington. Beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Meek. Best friend of Fern Allen for over 60 years. Special friend of Bill Carter and family, County Durham, England. Fondly remembered by many friends and family in England and Canada. Hazel always loved her many trips to England. She will be remembered for her involvement in the Sports Car Club, St. Matthew's Anglican Church Sunday School, choir and A.C.W., as a SAH volunteer and a long time Soo Mill employee. Friends may call at St. Matthew's Anglican Church (1643 Wellington Street East) on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11 am. Rev. Patrick McManus officiating. Interment later at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Primates World Relief and Development Fund, or SAH Foundation would be appreciated.
