Mr. Caddell, 62, of Chester, SC and formerly of Charlotte, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. Born December 12, 1949 in Charlotte, Mr. Caddell was a son of the late Acie Bascom Caddell and Ruby Foxx Caddell. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam era and retired from Fruehauff where he had been Plant Manager. Mr. Caddell loved golf, fishing, and vegetable gardening, as well as spending time at the beach. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Born December 12, 1949 in Charlotte, Mr. Caddell was a son of the late Acie Bascom Caddell and Ruby Foxx Caddell. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam era and retired from Fruehauff where he had been Plant Manager.

His family includes Sheila H. Caddell, his wife of 14 years; and two children, Greg Caddell (Cindy) of Charlotte, and Pam Roberts (Rob) of Lexington, NC; and five grandchildren, Tyler Lamar Caddell, Jade Marie Caddell, Joshua Roberts, Tyler Roberts and Jessika Roberts; as well as his sister, Elizabeth Maggie Jackson of Monroe.
A service to celebrate Mr. Caddell's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13th in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. His family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
