During her active life, Hazel worked for Champion Spark Plugs for 32 years in Toledo, Ohio. She retired from Champion in 1975, and moved to Glendale, AZ. She especially enjoyed traveling, playing cards, board games, Bunco and bowling. Her craft hobbies included ceramics, rug hooking, Macrame and much more.

She was loved and respected by all who knew her in the communities she worked and lived and is loved dearly by her family and friends. She was a strong, loving, dedicated and loyal woman and lived an exemplary 100 years. Right to the end of her 100 years on this earth, she was quick with a response to anything asked of her. Her quick wit always made people smile or laugh. She was a woman of few words, and whatever she had to say to anyone was always important. She was an amazing woman with such courage and strength and her laugh and sense of humor had such an affect on everyone she met. Her earthly presence will be greatly missed by all.
