Hazel M. Hamilton, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Terre Haute Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on February 9, 1930, in Melrose Park, IL to George and Pauline (Chartier) Kaufmann. She married Warren F. Hamilton on June 13, 1948 and together they raised three sons. Hazel was a graduate of Garfield High School. She worked as an artist for Local Readers Service. She enjoyed cats and decorating cakes. Hazel was a member of 8th Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Warren; their sons, Wayne F. Hamilton of Terre Haute, Bruce Hamilton and his wife Cathy of Avon, and...
Hazel M. Hamilton, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Terre Haute Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on February 9, 1930, in Melrose Park, IL to George and Pauline (Chartier) Kaufmann. She married Warren F. Hamilton on June 13, 1948 and together they raised three sons. She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Warren; their sons, Wayne F. Hamilton of Terre Haute, Bruce Hamilton and his wife Cathy of Avon, and Allan Hamilton, Sr. of Poland; grandchildren, Justin Hamilton of New York City, Laura Perrelle and her husband Frank of Bloomington, Allan Hamilton, Jr., and Jacob Hamilton, both of Indianapolis; a niece, Kelly Page of Tuscon, AZ and a nephew, Jim Pillow of Snowflake, AZ.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marty Pillow, and a brother-in-law, James (J.T.) Pillow.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, April 20 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be on Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to 8th Avenue Baptist Church or the organization of the donor's choice.
