Heather Elizabeth Whitcomb
Mason, Michigan
Heather Elizabeth Whitcomb was born on March 9, 1987 and passed away unexpectedly as a result of an auto accident on March 29, 2015. We will miss her terribly and will miss most her free spirit and unique outlook on the world.
Heather's life was cut tragically short just as she began to pursue her education in nursing with a future goal of owning her own tattoo business. She also had a goal to ride horses and play her guitar more often. She was incredibly talented, deep and an introspective soul with a great sense of humor and could find a reason to laugh at most anything. She loved being a silly big sister and she cared deeply about the environment and was very connected to nature. She was curious, clever and interested in all things mystical.
Heather is from Mason, MI and is survived by her parents Eddie Whitcomb (Reneè Rivard), and Kimberly Whitcomb; brothers, Nicholas Whitcomb (Rebecca) and T.J. Booms (Cherie); sisters, Elise and Danielle Dodge and soul mate Aaron Miller; Grandmother MaryJane Seltz; niece and nephews Nora, Colin and Levi Booms; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Dwight Crowner, Debbie Tarrant, Tammy Whitcomb, Peggy and Nathan Foote, David Cheplick and cousins, Kris (Kristy) Tarrant, Tiffany (Lance) McCann, Jenna Tupper, Dwight Lynn Crowner, Ida, Myron, Jaime Hosey, AJ Foote, Marissa, Sam and Julianna Cheplick. Heather also had extended family in Bad Axe, MI, Patricia Rivard, Cheryl and Dave Rice, Larry and Pam Rivard, David and Sue Rivard and their families. Her beloved dog Kylie.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doug Gramling, David and Joan Whitcomb and Marc John Seltz; aunt Linda Cheplick and cousin's Casey and Carly Foote.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Heather's life will be held at Lake Lansing Park South in the Pavilion, Haslett, MI on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in Heather's memory may be made to Camp Casey which is a riding program dedicated to children with cancer and their families at www.camp-casey.org
The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason, MI. On-line condolences may be made at www.grbdmason.com

Heather's Poem
Today she's in your care God
In a place we cannot see
Her leaving of this earth before us, seems like it was never meant to be
So many hopes, dreams, and wishes, she had for her young life
Were lost to her, and us forever, in the middle of the night
The pain so sharp, deep and sudden is indiscernible to bear
It makes one question God above, or even if he cares
Sages say that time will lessen the pain we feel today
Though this is much too hard to fathom, and seems years, and years away
Daddy, Mommy, hear me calling? Yes, it's really me
I have found my place in Heaven, here I am really free
My grandpa's and my grandma welcomed me at Heaven's door
I am in the arms of family, please don't worry any more
Sometimes you will feel the touch of my hand
Though you will not see me, you will come to understand
I will be there in the scent of flowers when no flowers are around
Or the whisper in your ear when no one has made a sound
Father, Mother know I love you, God has healed me through and through
Now I have asked God for the gift, of healing each of you
