My mother was born and raised in Rothkreuz a suburb of Lindau, where she lived her entire life. However she traveled extensively with my dad whenever she could. She rode an Elephant in India, cooked a German Christmas dinner in Pakistan and ate Sushi in Japan long before it became cool to eat it everywhere else. She was an excellent cook, and all the grandchildren were exited when Omi's kitchen was open for dinner. She was the biggest Soccer fan I know, and loved her magazines, so she could be on top of what is going on in politics and the Royals in Europe. My parents were in the USA at least 25 times to visit us. My mother was the social director in our family, she arranged all events big and small whether it was a card game with friends, or a big party in a nice Hotel. She was loved and will be missed by her Daughter, 3 grand children and 8 great grandchildren .

Heinz Zeller

born 08/26/27 died 05/03/14

He was born in Munich but was always a small town guy in his heart. He came to Lindau and fell in love with that area immediately. Shortly thereafter he met my mother and the rest is history. His job included a lot of travel, he saw a very big part of this world which he enjoyed. Whenever possible my mother would join him. They were married 66 years and inseparable in their later years. He built his own house, and created a beautiful garden with an Italian patio, a Japanese pond and bridge and a French pavilion. My dad was quite the artist, after he retired from his job as Superintendent , he wrote a book, wrote poems, and his paintings are in all of our homes. He was very involved in his community and did much to further the preservation of the history and landmarks in town. He was a bit of a control freak and literally did everything himself, because he knew nobody could do it to his liking. He was loved and respected by everybody. We will miss his strength and advise, he will be in our hearts forever.
