Helen Alice Pesek, 94, of Moulton, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Home in Schulenburg, Texas.
Funeral Mass is under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Moulton, Texas and will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Interment will follow at the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Moulton, Texas.
A Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 9:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas. Visitation will begin Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 12:00pm.
Helen was the daughter of Emil and Julia (Jurena) Hollub. She was born on Monday, August 16, 1920 in Moulton, Texas. She graduated from Komensky High School as Valedictorian. She married Adolf Pesek, Jr. on October 25, 1938 at Saint John's Catholic Church in Moravia, Texas. Helen was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas, and also the Alter Society. Helen was a homemaker and a quilter, having made more than 100 quilts.
She is survived by one sister; Ida Lee Bucek and her husband, Bob of Houston, Texas, one son; Jimmie Pesek and his wife, Janice of Moulton, Texas, one daughter; Elaine Hoffman and her husband, Johnnie of Moulton, Texas, four grandchildren; Ryan Hoffman and his wife, Adrianne of Katy, Texas, Adam Hoffman and his fiancé, Cecilia Mariscal of Gilbert, Arizona, Katy Hoffman of Austin, Texas, Ross Hoffman of Moulton, Texas, one step-grandson; Sean McCormick and his wife, Sherry of Nevada, and one step-great-granddaughter; Deidre Rose McCormick of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; Emil and Julia Hollub, her husband; Adolf Pesek, Jr. four brothers; Hubert Hollub, Eugene Hollub, Jerome Hollub, Alex Hollub, and one granddaughter; Julia Marie Hoffman.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Pesek will be; Ryan Hoffman, Adam Hoffman, Katy Hoffman, Ross Hoffman, Donnie Cinadr, and Cullis Hollub
