Helen Lamb, age 94, died peacefully on Sept. 13, 2016. Predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Lamb. She is survived by her son Ernest Lamb of Portland, Oregon, grandson Brad Lamb and great-grandson Samuel Lamb. Helen is also survived by her daughter Amy Young and her husband Kent, grandsons Aaron, David and Nathan Young and great-grandsons Lucas Boyd and Samuel Young, as well as her sister Genevieve Canter. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends were important to Helen throughout her life.
Born December 2, 1921, Helen grew up in Oil City, Pa., became a registered nurse and proudly served as an Army nurse during the 2nd World War. She raised her children in Ohio and later relocated to New Port Richey, Florida, her adopted hometown.
Helen enjoyed music, art, books, PBS and spending time with her many friends. Independent to a fault, Helen lived her life her way to the very end. She will be sadly missed and remembered fondly.
