Helen F. (Myers) Eliker, age 92, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away at 1:55 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville. Helen was born June 15, 1919 in Arcanum, Ohio, to the late Noel R. Sr. & Verna (Shuler) Myers.
Helen is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Eliker whom she married November 28, 1942; son & daughter-in-law, Barry & Chris Eliker of Greenville; daughters & sons-in-law, Jo Ellen & Charles J. Sullivan of Greenfield, Indiana and Connie & Ellis Bates Jr. of New Madison; grandchildren, Erin & Michael Effner, Ryan M. & Lindsey Sullivan, Justin & Elizabeth Bates, Joshua Bates & fiancée Jessica Bowers, Chase Wright, and Kimberly & Corey Mowen; great grandchildren, Elise V. Effner, Avery Bates and Tucker Bates; sister & brother-in-law, Annalee & Kenneth Stryker of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen is also preceded in death by a brother, Noel R. "Squeak" Myers Jr.
Helen enjoyed her hobbies of decorating eggs, volunteering at Wayne HealthCare and the Brethren Retirement Community. Helen was a member of the New Madison United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Ft. Black Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison with Pastor Carol A. Duffield officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Tri Village Rescue, New Madison Fire Department or the New Madison United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.

We are so sorry for your loss Joe. We loved her so much and in fact Jodie and I were speaking of her just yesterday and how Jodie loved to go to your house after school just so she could see her eggs and talk to her. We still have the poem she wrote for Bruce. She was a very special lady in our lives. RIP sweet lady. We will miss you.
