Helen Alger, of Conklin, 78, passed away at home on Thursday, May 10, 2012 after a brief illness. Her husband and family there by her side. Helen was predeceased by her parents; Joseph & Della,, brother, Stanley, in-laws, Ferris & Dorothy Alger. Survivors include; her loving husband of 57 years Dayton, brothers; Joseph, Timothy & Dorothy Koloski, sister, Mary & Robert Jones, her sister-in-law, Doris Koloski; very loved and special nieces and nephews; Joshua, Timothy, Jason, Michelle, Kim, Michael, Jennifer and Scott, sister and brother-in-law; Helen & Sam Tarreto, their children, Jim, Ann, Denise, Diane and Janine. sister-in-law, Gladys Stevenson, her children, John and Joel, great nieces and nephews; Chuck, Janice, John, Erin, Dillon, Steven, Debbie, Terradiane, Kyle, Daniel and Thomas. Helen worked at MacIntosh Lab for 33 years, she was very talented, she worked with ceramics, cross stitched and many other crafts. She was very artistic and an avid bowler. Helen had a great sense of humor, liked spending time with her nieces and nephews and fond of animals. At Christmas time she was known as "Naughty, But Nice". She will always be missed and loved by her family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port dickinson,NY 13901, with her nephew, Pastor Brian Soller officiating, burial will follow at the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family and friends may stop at the funeral home on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 4-7:00PM
