Helen June Kineman, 86, of Nunn, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley. Helen was born on June 17, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri to Earl and William Helen (Evans) Smith. Helen was raised in Galena, Kansas. She worked in the food service most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pierce, the VFW and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Family came first for Helen. She took care of everybody. Her friends would call her "mom". She loved giving her grandchildren candy and sweets. She also enjoyed cooking and canning was her specialty. Helen enjoyed drag racing motorcycles...
Helen June Kineman, 86, of Nunn, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley. Helen was born on June 17, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri to Earl and William Helen (Evans) Smith.

Helen was raised in Galena, Kansas. She worked in the food service most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pierce, the VFW and was a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Family came first for Helen. She took care of everybody. Her friends would call her "mom". She loved giving her grandchildren candy and sweets. She also enjoyed cooking and canning was her specialty.

Helen enjoyed drag racing motorcycles in her early years. She was also was related to the Dalton Gang brothers.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Shirley "Snook" (Johnny) Sanders; three sons, Patrick (Arta) Williams, J.D. (Deborah) McKinzie and Oscar "Butch" (Marcie) Grogan; one sister, Ann Mitchell; two brothers, John (Anna) Smith and Paul (Anna) Smith; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Iva Mae, three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 with a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home.
