Helen S. Ross, age 88, of Roswell died peacefully at her residence, on January 15, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James (Jim) Ross. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Ross, son-in-law, David Engbritson, grandsons, Ross and Ian, and several nieces. Helen grew up in in Oxford, Indiana and was a graduate of Indiana University. She was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, and volunteered as a life member with the Woman's Auxiliary of Piedmont Hospital. After moving to Roswell she volunteered with the Friends of the Roswell Library. Helen cherished her friendships, those from many years living in the Chastain Park area, her golfing buddies at Cherokee Town and Country Club, her bridge partners, and most recently, friends from St. George Village. She shone most brightly when surrounded with friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 18th from 4 until 6:00 pm at H. M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm, noon on January 19th at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, or a charity of your choice.
