I met Claire at the Capitol City Quilt Guild but really didn't get to know her until we started to hold Scrap Fever meetings in her home. Talk about a gracious, talented woman! I will miss her greatly. Rest in peace, Claire.

Although I had only known Claire about a year through quilting her beautiful quilt tops, it was easy to see that she was a woman of intelligence and dignity. It was an honor to have a part in her creative process and I will miss her quiet grace.

Dear Uncle Ray and my cousins,
God Bless You! Such a hard time. I remember what enthusiasm and energy Aunt Claire always had for life. I am sure that she not only was an advocate for all of you, but for her students as well. As a teacher myself, I know what dedication and commitment she shared with those she worked with. I think back to my mother's passing and remember a thought that came from the hospice material. " While we are standing on the shore saying, "there she goes" there are others on the opposite shore calling out with joy, "There she comes!" May this give you comfort as well. All who know you grieve with you at her passing. Love Mary Jo Lorenz
