Henrietta Mitch (née Ostrander) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012. Henrietta was born in Peekskill, NY in 1924. She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1942. She had already met her future husband, the late Rocco Mitch, on a blind date during WWII. Rocco was in the Army while Henrietta worked in a "War Plant". They were married in 1946. Henrietta enjoyed card games, crossword puzzles, gardening, needlework and bowling, an activity she enjoyed until the end. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6-9pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 1st at 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Croton.
