Henry "Hank" Jenkins, 86 of Pompton Plains, NJ, formerly of Denville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2013. Hank was born in Morristown, NJ and lived in Sparta, NJ for 47 years. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWll. He worked for 36 years for the Prudential Insurance Company retiring in 1993. He was Past Master (1963) of Mountain Lakes, Lodge #258 of the F&AM. He was a former member of the Denville and Newton Rotary Clubs and was a former President of Beach #4 at Lake Mohawk, NJ. Hank was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Denville where he served as Chief in 1961. He was active in the Denville sports community for many years. He obtained his private pilot's license in 1992 at the age of 70. Hank is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty (nee Liermann) Jenkins, daughter Kathleen Paxton and her husband Robert, son Richard and his wife Ann and son Kevin and his wife Susan; brother Robert Jenkins and his wife Helen and sister Dolores Jenkins. He is also survived by grandchildren: Robert lll, Marisa, and Brett Paxton, Angela, Katie, Lisa, and Alan Jenkins, Megan and Daniel Jenkins and 7 loving great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5-7pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will be held at 7:30pm Monday. I'm so sorry to hear that Henry has passed... please call me if you need anything at all.... I wish I knew about the service and I wouldve been there... missed u guys on sun and mon. I thought that maybe u were getting something fixed again.. love you
