Graveside service for Henry Dewey Simmons, Jr., 92, of Anniston, will be held today, August 9, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary today from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis "Toby" Simmons; parents, Dewey Simmons Sr. and Mable Simmons; sister, Joyce Curry; and brother, Charlie Simmons.
He is survived by sister, Jane Sanford, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Simmons retired from Lee Brass and served in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed watching Alabama football, the races, and the news.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Carol, Katie, and Jill from Meals-on-wheels for your care and friendship to Mr. Simmons.
