I knew Larry from the University of Richmond over 50 years ago. A good guy, lots of friends, good football player, played hard, partied hard, and was a one of kind guy. He and his family actually went across country, one summer, in a covered wagon. Don't ask me why, but they did it, and had a fabulous time. Larry always had a good time.
And a great sense of humor as well. He was funny!
RIP Larry.

The Naval Commander

I will never forget sitting on the balcony with you,
Listening to what you had to say,
Reminiscing about your Navy days,
As you looked out upon the bay.

A man so large in stature and heart,
A humble Hero among us all,
Never did we think you would leave so young,
By an angel to take God's call.

Although you are in Heaven,
And not here with us in this life,
I promise you my dear friend,
To help take care of your sweet wife.

Now when I look out on the bay,
and see an Eagle flying overhead,
in beautiful splendid grander,
I will salute you my dear friend,
A hero, The Naval Commander.

I feel blessed to have known you, Larry

Mrs. Shotwell,

The good lord crossed our paths during one of the most difficult periods of our lives. I am forever grateful for your "HUG" of kindness. Bless you and your family as you navigate this path. I hope your family knows just how much of a gem you are and how much love you gave during this time to another. Blessings to you all.
